Chain Saw Grinding Wheel

>>> 1. What does the Chain Saw Grinding Wheels refer to?

A Chain Saw is a big saw with teeth fixed in a chain that is driven round by a motor. The Chain Saw Grinding Wheels are grinding wheels, which are used to grind the teeth, when it is not very sharp, on the chain.

>>> 2. Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Grinding Wheels

(Shape: Plain Grinding Wheels with Arc, which will not change the shape of the teeth on the Chain Saw.)

The materials of the Chain Saw can be divided into Tungsten Carbide, High Speed Steel (HSS) and Common Steels. After a long-term experimentation, we have the following conclusion.

Since the diamond is the hardest material on the earth, while the hardness of the Tungsten Carbide is also very high, so that the Diamond Sharpening Grinding Wheels are especially suitable for grinding Tungsten Carbide Chain Saw. However, the CBN Sharpener Wheels are more appropriate for grinding the HSS and Common steels Chain Saw.

Main Advantages of Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Grinding Wheels

1

Very long service time, compared to the ‘pink’ wheel.

2

Own superior surface roughness-the Chain Saw Teeth will be extremely sharp with a long time.

3

The chemical composition of the Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Sharpener Grinding Wheels is well balanced, so that they will not burn and scratch the profile of the Chain Saw Teeth.

4

The processing environment of the Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Grinding Wheels is comparatively environmentally friendly. Hence there is no too much dust while grinding, you will not inhale too much dust to your lung.

The Common Specification of Diamond and CBN
Chain Saw Grinding Wheels

There are three kinds of common outer diameter of the Chain Saw Grinding Wheels. They are: 5 -3/4" (146 mm), 4" (102 mm) and 8" (203 mm). You should check your grinder to see which outer diameter fits your machine. If you need the other outer diameter, you can also send inquiry to us and we can also customize for you.

Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Grinding Wheels can easily replace the "pink" wheels - you will not have to rebuild your sharpening machine. The Common hole diameter is 7/8" (22.23 mm), but every Chain Saw Grinding Wheel comes with the reducing spacer which can reduce bore size to 12 mm, in case your grinder has 12mm shaft. This hole is used on Stihl or other grinders. They are also available for most chain pitches of 1/4’’, 3/8’’, and 3/16’’. For outer diameter 8" (203 mm) Chain Saw Sharpener Grinding Wheels, the bore diameter is 1" (25,4 mm).

Our Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Sharpening Wheels can work on many grinders such as: Oregon, Stihl, Tecomec, Timbertuff, Jolly, Maxx, Franzen, Foley, Northern, Maxx, SIlvey, Franzen and ect.

Maintenance of the Diamond and CBN
Chain Saw Grinding Wheels

The Diamond and CBN Chain Saw Grinding wheels don’t need to be cleaned in the normal conditions. But if the wheel gets clogged, there is free cleaning tool included with every piece of Chain Saw Grinding Wheel.

Turn on your grinder and let it reach full speed. Then turn it off and while the wheel is rotating, simply touch the cleaning stick to the surface of the diamond or CBN working part of the grinding wheel. The cleaning stick will make the wheel rotate gradually slower until it stops. You might need to repeat this operation 3-4 times, until you feel that the Diamond or CBN Chain Saw Sharpener Grinding Wheels is clean and the grains are sharp. We also recommend to flip your grinding wheel after sharpening every 20-30 chains.
